Neuroscience for Therapists, Coaches, and Healers

An online neuroscience course for mental health professionals delivered in 10 modules

Course Description

Over the last half-century, the field of Neuroscience has revolutionized the way we think about the human mind. It has given rise to a wide array of tools, models, and therapeutics meant to improve our well-being, yet it is not always clear how Neuroscience research can be useful to those of us working on the front lines of mental health. In the gap between the lab bench and the therapist’s couch, you’re likely to find a proliferation of pseudoscience, buzzwords, and over-interpretation. How can we distill out the reliable information that will benefit our clients?

In this course, you will learn to think like a neuroscientist. We will provide necessary foundational knowledge, practice finding and interpreting primary literature, bust common myths, and map the current frontiers of the field to bring you up to speed. By the end of our 10 module course, you will be able to speak the language of neuroscience, interpret new findings as they emerge, and come up with new ways to incorporate these insights into your practice and share them with your clients.
